It seems that even one of the mexican gods himself felt obliged to send some birthday greetings to Islamabad, where Jan spent his 43rd birthday. We don’t know what caused it, but we have been blessed with a „lovely“ diarrea ever since.
Jan spent one day sleeping, only interrupted by frequent sprints to the washroom. Liliane was feeling a bit better but the symptoms are the same. Although we feel a bit tired, we’re in a good mood. But we didn’t dare to leave the campsite for a few days, because we never new when the next cramps would set in.
The temperatures have dropped a bit after the first big monsun thunderstorm three days ago.
Finally we met more travellers! (so they do exist) A german couple with a Volkswagen camper and an austrian couple with motorbikes have arrived, both coming from India/Nepal. So finally we are able to ask all our questions and share our stories.
It’s may be not much comfort, but they’re also sick and „toilet talk“ is a quite common topic these days.
Lola is her happy self, being the only one who’s not affected by any of this. But she has lost all her hair. When it was so hot her hair were too warm for her and it was itchy. She was scratching (or trying to) her head and started pulling hair out. So we decided to shave her hair, as we had seen local babies with the same „hair-do“ before. She looks like a little buddha now – but still pretty.

Sure hope you both feel better soon. I am leaving this weekend for Venice and will be in Turkey next week. We will be on a cruise and go to several countries.

Buddha-Lola…hm, naja ich wollte mir auch mal die Haare abrasieren lassen, in Indien, aber der Friseur meinte, it doesn`t look nice…. Ja Toilette-talk ist auf Reisen ja immer sehr beliebt. Hoffentlich geht`s euch bald wieder besser !!!!! Liebste Grüsse

Mann das ist ja richtig spannend was ihr alles erlebt. Wie hat das mit der Polizeieskorte funktioniert? Ist die euch zur Verfügung gestellt worden als ihr auf den Polizeiposten wart? Ist sicherlich ein komisches Gefühl ständig von Polizei umgeben zu sein. Geht es euch gesundheitlich wieder besser oder habt ihr immer noch Durchfall?
